The National Collection Agency (NCA) collects statistics about visitors to its website. The information is only used in connection with the operation and development of the web pages.

The press' and the public's access pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act

The main rule under the Freedom of Information Act is that the case documents of administrative bodies are publicly accessible. As a consequence of this, your enquiry to NCA will also be public.

However, NCA handles many documents that contain confidential information. These are exempt from public disclosure.

The content of the website is protected by copyright and is owned by NCA. Any copying, public disclosure and use of such content over and above what follows from the Copyright Act and other applicable legislation is permitted provided that NCA is stated as the source.

The use of graphic elements and photos is not permitted except with the prior written consent of NCA.

Liability in connection with errors, shortcomings and accessibility

Although NCA is continuously working to ensure that all information on the website is correct, complete and accessible, we cannot guarantee that this will be the case at all times.

NCA will not be held responsible if changes in regulations have not been updated on the website, for any spelling mistakes or other inaccuracies or omissions in the information on the website. Any disputes that may arise between NCA and users of the website shall be governed by Norwegian law with Norway as the legal venue.

Passwords and sensitive information – your responsibility

All passwords must be learned by heart and must never be disclosed to the police, bank or other public authorities. You should change your password regularly. Do not send sensitive or confidential information by email.

Be careful with respect to using unfamiliar computers when you log on to My page. You should be particularly cautious when logging on to the services from internet cafés or libraries.

Use of credit cards

NCA validates all credit cards through Nets and is responsible for all credit card transactions made via NCA's website.

When you are paying with card a fee that equals a percentage of the amount will be placed per transaction.
