We help Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland to collect on fines and legal costs imposed on Norwegians in these countries.

If you are fined in one of these countries, the prosecuting authority sends the claim to us and we start the process of collecting on the claim against you. The collection takes place in accordance with the rules in Norway. If we are unable to collect all the money, we send the case back to the Nordic country that established the claim in good time before it is time-barred.

If you wish to apply for cancellation of the claim or appeal against the fine, it is the authority that established the claim that will consider your application. Enforcement of the claim will not be stopped while the application is being considered unless we are told to do so by the prosecuting authorities.

Relevant legal authority

- final and binding judgment / accepted penalty notice, cf. the Enforcement of Claims Act Section 4-1 second paragraph letters f, g and h

- Act relating to the execution of Nordic sentences etc. Section 24 third paragraph, cf. the Criminal Procedure Act Section 456 third paragraph
