You can use the Norwegian Public Roads Administration's text message (SMS) service to check who is registered as owner of the vehicle and whether the annual motor vehicle tax has been paid.
The procedure is as follows: send REGNR <the vehicle's registration number> to 2282
Have you already scrapped or sold the vehicle?
In that case, the date when this was reported will be important.
